Veléz-Blanco

On our trip South for Holy week we visited this Castle and on the way up had to stop in a beautiful Cafetería on the way. It was a great day!! I learned that in the early 1900's a portion of this castle was sold to the NY Metropolitan Museum and is on display.

This is a Cherimoya

The Cherimoya is a fruit that has a soft white pulp with large black seeds. The pulp tastes very sweet. A little like vanilla custard. I was going to post a pic of the inside too but José ate it all before I had a chance. Maybe next time.
