The parade of Moors.

We have been to El Campello to enjoy the beach and then off to Villajoyosa for the Festival of the Christians versus the Moors. An annual celebration including a big parade and in some places the enactment of the battle. The Hotel Mar Azul was within walking distance to the beach and very clean. The beach also very clean, I have to get used to the fact that bathing tops on women is an optional thing. It was a most enjoyable weekend and my wish is that in the future I will be able to take you personally to these places to visit. All are welcome!

Arenales

Went to this beach, Arenales, after an afternoon of cleaning. My skirt is compliments of my friends at Costco who gave me some Euros to spend. After the beach we met a good friend,Tony and enjoyed sitting outside at a café in conversation. Very nice day.

Altea

We spent a wonderful day in Altea. The sights were breathtaking. We were able to eat on the top level of one of the buildings with a fantastic view of the city.

First day in Spain

Today was a busy day, registered at the Elche town hall, got a new cell phone, bought groceries, napped, lunch, went to the beach of Santo Pola, walked forever and then thought maybe our car had been towed only to find it about a block away. Stopped to visit with an old friend of Jose´s for a while and now home again, it is now 1:30, time to sleep.
