Alicante is just 20 minutes away.

Today Jose and I went for a walk along the beach of Alicante, it is just a twenty minute drive away from Elche where I will soon live. The weather actually did get warm enough for me to take my jacket off. We stopped to have a soda here. I can't believe how happy Jose has made me. Don't pinch me I don't want to wake up!

Murcia

Visited Murcia today. Very pretty walk stopping to look at this Cathedral in the center of town. Again many people in celebration of Holy Week.

Granada

We visited Granada today. It was very lovely, the weather was great and the country fantastic to look at. The Alhambra, a moorish citadel and palace. When we arrived at the entrance they said the tickets had sold out. Too bad. We still walked, and walked, and walked all downhill I might add, to visit a very old Cathedral in the oldest part of town. In the center of town was a statue of Christopher Columbus presenting the Queen with his plan to discover a land far away. It was very lovely. We had a nice lunch, in the best of weather, I was actually getting warm. :) After lunch Jose thought we could catch a taxi back up the hill to our car, guess again, with the activities of Holy Week many roads were blocked off. So, we walked and walked and walked back up the hill to our car. I really did enjoy myself.

Primo Pepe

We are with Primo (cousin) Pepe. He is a very nice man always giving to those in need. We spent most of our meals with him on this day. He brought photos with him on this day and I was able to see a lot of Jose's relatives in the pictures. We ended the day with Churros and hot chocolate, it was great!

Puente Genil
